Other (Summer) SchoolsA Summer School in Computer and Robot Assisted Maxillofacial Surgery (CRAMS) is to be held in Heidelberg, Germany, from July 21-25. This summer school is aimed at advanced MSc and PhD students specializing in relevant fields. Applications from postdocs and junior researchers will also be considered, but priority will be given to graduate and doctoral students.
All participating students are expected: The deadline for applications is May 15th. The 9th Summer School on Image and Robotics will be held in Clermont-Ferrand, France, from June 23th — July 4th. This summer school can be followed by master student, Phd student or postdoc. We will also welcome academic and industrial partners. Over the 2 weeks, we will address the following topics:
The on-line pre-registration application form must be filled up before May 18. Please note that the maximum Summer School size is 60 participants so you should register as early as possible. The Intelligent Robotics Lab of Jaume-I University in collaboration with the Sheffield-Hallam University (UK) will hold a Summer School on Rescue Robotics from September 15-19 in Benicassim, Spain. Rescue robotics has emerged in recent years as an active research field, providing valuable assistance in urban rescue tasks after catastrophes (e.g. earthquakes) or incidents like fire or accidents involving hazardous materials. The school, aimed at students with an engineering background, will deliver basic insights about the technology, science, and domain issues that may be instrumental in successfully applying rescue robotics in the real world. Graduate robotics students will have a unique training opportunity in this emergent and fast-evolving domain, closely interacting for one week with some of the top-level researchers in the world in this field, as well as with fellow students. |
