EURON is ...

Creating Resources

No-one can do their best work without proper resources.

EURON members are dedicated to improving the quality of robotics research worldwide. Therefore we create resources which are free for all to use, to make both robotics teaching and robotics research easier, allowing more time to focus on quality.

EURON members are in the forefront of robotics worldwide and take part in policy-making and promotional activities both in Europe and across the world.

Interesting Robots

Shrimp III from BlueBotics

A mobile platform for rough terrain

robot shrimp 3

Shrimp III's mechanical architecture provides it with an incredible mobility. It is able to easily move in a very challenging terrain, overcome vertical obstacles of twice its wheel size, and it can even climb stairs!

Shrimp III does not "know" that it is climbing anobstacle. Instead, it simply advances and lets its mechanical structure adapt to the terrain profile, meaning that there are no sensors or actuators in the robot, except for the motorised wheels and their speed control.
