Formal Aims

Communication Strategy

For communication EURON will use a number of mechanisms from anactive website, to regular communication in the most widely distributed magazine within the community. In addition, workshops on specific topics will be organised. For the involvement of young researchers, a number of summer schools will be organised each year. Experience from the FP5 NOE has demonstrated that these are effective mechanisms for reaching a wide community beyond the normal robotics institutions. In addition to the scientific dissemination the network will setup a press / media service.

What EURON is and does, and why

EURON is a community of people with a common interest: robots. It brings together all European robotics research groups and resources in research, industry and education. EURON aims to demonstrate Europe's world class position in robotics, and being visible is one of the major benefits that EURON membership provides.

Our two basic introductions, What is EURON?, and What is Robotics? are good starting points for those new to EURON and include some nice robot pictures. Our publicity leaflets cover some of the same material, but in more depth and with different pictures.

Descriptions of the many EURON activities need a whole section of their own.
