This Working Group is responsible the educational activities within EURON.

EURON PhD schools (winter/summer schools) bring together the latest research in specialist topics in robotics. (Here is an overview of EURON PhD Schools that have taken place in the past.) EURON Schools promote excellence by exposing students to international-quality teaching and methodology, to many new ideas, and to criticism from peers. They create resources and invest in the future by encouraging, supporting, and stimulating the young researchers of today to create a strong research environment in the future. This group works towards criteria (quality in content, organisation, durable educational material, ...) for PhD (summer/winter) Schools to be endorsable by EURON. It also will coordinate the location, the content, and the timing of various PhD School organisations, in order to optimize their effectiveness and completeness. To this end, a EURON PhD School Board will be set up, consisting of half a dozen or so senior people with experience and motivation in PhD education.

The WG will coordinate the integration and ensure the publication on the EURON web site of the material delivered at EURON PhD schools. The WG will work with the organizers and the lecturers of the schools to organize the material into a self contained form, suitable also for non-academic audience, with sufficient working examples, so that technical people, not specialist on the subject, can understand and use it.

This WG will devise a procedure that can attach official ECTS points to EURON PhD Schools, in order to establish, eventually, a European Robotics PhD School.

We hope that you will get involved in many of EURON's activities and encourage others to do so as well.

Attending meetings is an excellent way of making contacts and friends within the community. The Annual Meetings are the major instrument for this purpose.

A lot of things are happening all the time in the European robotics community: conferences and workshops are being organised, projects are starting, job offers are announced, etc. The EURON mailing list is the place-to-be for all your communications around these topics.
