  • RAS/IFRR Summer school on Human-Robot Interaction,
    19-23 July , Volterra, Italy, organised by Henrik Christensen and Ron Arkin, 35 participants.
  • Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM),
    3-7 August , Toulouse, France, organised by Raja Chatila and Juan D. Tardós, 75 participants.
  • 4th International UJI Robotic's School on Mobile Manipulators,
    13-17 September , Jaume-I University, Benicàssim, SPAIN, organised by Pedro J. Sanz, Raúl Marín, and Markus Vincze, 23 participants.

Further details of 2004 Schools are available in PDF format. These include lists of topics and lecturers from the individual schools, students' suggestions for new Schools, and overall statistical breakdowns along various lines. 112 European and 75 people from other countries participated in the four 2004 summer Schools. The countries sending most participants were: France, Mexico, Spain, USA, Germany, Italy and Singapore. Most participants were very happy with everything and would definitely like to attend another School.
