Annual Meeting 2005

Year 1

The first Annual Meeting of EURON II was held from 16 - 18 February 2005 in the Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland.

EURON's two international advisors, Prof. Hirochika Inoue of Japan and Prof. Lynne Parker of the USA, gave plenary talks. Many of the initiatives from EURON I are continuing in EURON II, and new initiatives are starting. The three other Integrated Projects (IPs) funded under FET FP6, COGNIRON, The Cognitive Robot Companion, I-SWARM, Intelligent Small World Autonomous Robots for Micro-Manipulation, and Neurobotics, The Fusion of Neuroscience and Robotics for Augmenting Human Capabilities were presented in parallel sessions.

Getting Involved

We hope that you will get involved in many of EURON's activities and encourage others to do so as well.

Attend Meetings

Attending meetings is an excellent way of making contacts and friends within the community. The Annual Meetings are the major instrument for this purpose.

Communicate

A lot of things are happening all the time in the European robotics community: conferences and workshops are being organised, projects are starting, job offers are announced, etc. The EURON mailing list is the place-to-be for all your communications around these topics.
